Experimental picture of an observed event with a clearly identified electron signature out of the total sample of 1091 neutrino interactions. This event has a total energy of 11.5 ± 1.8 GeV, and a transverse electron momentum of 1.8 ± 0.4 GeV/c, while the single electron shower in the transverse plane is clearly opposite to the remaining of the event.

ICARUS detector’s time projection chambers (TPC) will now be overhauled at CERN in preparation for possible new uses in future experiments.
